Sharing recent horn upgrade. Read a number of posts and wanted to share my simple solution. My requirements were louder sound closer to a car horn, no wiring and no drilling. My mech skills are basic so this should be straight forward for anyone.

The difficulty level of the upgrade is 3/10 but the annoying level is 8/10 as the screws around the shroud were finnicky to put back on. If you are basic mech like me, take pictures around the shroud before you start so you know where all the cables should fit. Total time about 20 mins and most of that was trying to get the screws on and off.

Link to the Wolo horn is here (NOT an affiliate link)

WIDE SHOT

ZOOM SHOT
Top screw is original install, bottom nut and bracket included with new horn

CLOSED UP SHOT
The horn just touches the grill with the slightest of bulge. I am OK with that, but you can look for a slightly smaller horn.

Thats hardcore! Much more skills than I have to install :)

I will never know why they ship such [email protected] horns to begin with. Firstly its a safety issue, secondly its a shame to have such a fine machine with a meep meep horn

Just kidding around. I found the big Sharptones on clearance on Amazon for 12 bucks. If I could fit them on the bike I probably would! They're definitely going on the car though. I put on the set of the Hella dual tone motorcycle horns on a couple year ago. Better than factory but not quite clear enough. However I think it's due to the wimpy wiring. I've added a circuit and relay with some new heavier guage wire and got a fresh set of the same horns. Looking forward to seeing how much better they can do once I get it all buttoned up.

Do you have a photo of what you put together?

Nothing worth sharing just yet, but I'm working on it. A "Quick tidying up of the wiring" has turned into 3 weeks of electrical rework. I will definitely post something on the thread here pretty soon.
