So I sold my 1200r and it had the Termi exhaust and by virtue of “Racing” on the TFT, I presume the upmap/flash. Also don’t have the stock slip-on (with Cat in it).
the buyer is in Cali and I somehow lost the sticker with Vin info I thought I stuck in manuals so he is going to need an inspection with CHP to register.
what concerns him is the Termi, even with baffles as the pipes say for racing only and Cali is uptight about everything.
Which leads me to the question. I think I could probably find cheap stock pipes and that’s and easy swap for the inspection BUT, if he puts them on, when he puts the Termis back on will it have ****ed up the upmap or otherwise trigger any check engine ECU stuff?
that could prove challenging because dealers in Cali may not do that for him?
I’m just trying to figure out how to help him as I feel awful for losing the dang sticker and buyer has been the coolest so I’m even prepared to buy the stock can.
