I want to mod my standard low exhaust pipes to high pipes. I would like to do this by fabricating some new bends and making or buy the new brackets to support the modded pipes. Can someone point me in the right direction? (I am sure this has been discussed in here before, I just can not find the right subject/thread to read)

Or

If you have done this mod, can you send me some pictures?

Thanks

This might be more of a pain/expense than it's worth. The angled junction at the "front" of the stock low cans that accepts the midpipe is going to be problematic and there is some "pre" baffling in that section that might make it a challenge to redo. The "entry" into high cans is straight. If you have a welder and some cutting tools anything is possible, but you won't find an easy bolt up solution.

not a big deal but like desmo says will obviously have some challanges. lt has been done before though, there`s a guy selling the stainless bends on the DML here. l`m making some hi-pipes right now also but l`m using titanium cans from an R-1 Yamaha. The stock Ducati cans mounted up hi are waaaay too big :) lt could be done if you cut them down shorter and you will need to cut and "clock" the ends. lf you have to pay to have all this done choose your fabricator carefully. lt could look pretty bad if done poorly.Post pics if you do it though,a lot of people seem to come up with this after they price exhausts..

I had the two piece DP low mounts(Remus I think), bought two two inch jbends online and mounted the cans where I wanted them. Then took the bike to a local muffler shop. He cut and welded both. Not as good as I could have wished, but passable. Cost a total of $130.

BTW I'm wishing now I had used stainless instead.

Where did you get those mounting staps for the exhausts? I'm having trouble getting my low-mount Termis onto CycleCat rearsets. If I could ditch the bracket and use something else I might be better off.

Thanks
