I have a Duc DS 1100 engine in my s2r.

Just had it tuned, dyno'ed and thoroughly checked out.

Rode 300 miles Monday with no issues.

Tonight, while riding it started sort of slipping / missing / misfiring?

This happened under hard acceleration above 4K rpm.

Clutch plates are new enough <500 miles. - coils are new - ignition cables are unlikely. Plugs are less than 1k miles and gapped at 40. Given that it's a dual spark and that each plug has its own coil, I am doubtful that there's an issue here - timing was set and custom mapped by Rexxer - I think this would have shown as an issue during Dyno as well.

I'm thinking valves or chain/sprockets. I'll check those out tomorrow, but anyone with other ideas or similar experiences?

I was surprised to find little doing a search.

TIA

After reading a bit...

I cleaned and lubed the chain and 70 miles in, I'm pretty sure that was the issue. The chain hadn't been serviced in at least 800 miles. I think it was binding under load and jumping teeth. Sprockets look fine though. I guess that I caught it early enough.

Lesson to self: lube your chain regularly.

Shop

I'd take it back to the shop that tuned it.
I would have done that if I hadn't figured out the issue first. That said, my bike is such a custom mix of parts that no shop would 'own' any issues. Can totally understand that.
