Has anybody has this happen? My wife bought two DP aluminum billet mirrors for her bike and installed them a few weeks ago. Today, while riding on the freeway, the mirror unexpectedly flew off -- just the glass, nothing else. She wasn't able to pull over, obviously, so now the glass part of the mirror is gone. The housing is completely intact, but we noticed there is no glue or anything remaining. Does this sound familiar to anyone out there?

Uhh - yup. Happened twice.

Right had mirror came off about a year and a half into owning the bike - caught the mirror right as I was accelerating - palmed it in my hand and tried to pull over to the left, but unfortunately slid off before I could stop.

Second right hand mirror - two rides - glass fell out.

Quality adhesives those guys use.

Solution - get it replaced by Ducati - shouldn't be a problem. Or get a non Ducati pair of mirrors.

Get it replaced by Ducati or have a new mirrior glass cut and put in. I've had to have that done for my cage. Never had a problem after they were replaced. Better adhesive I guess.
