Jeff has not posted any update since Monday. He's the source of my information.

So the latest news I have is your phone conversation with him Tuesday!

I was figuring that if he had been released, we'd have seen him pop up on the board. I'v gotta think that's one of the first things he'd do.

He told me that is one of the first things that he wanted to do, so I'm suprised that I haven't seen him out here yet. Maybe they made him stay?? :p For his sanity sake I hope not! :-/

Hello!

I am in fact back from the hospital-never get treatment at Boston Medical Center. Still hurting pretty good and am relying on meds to remain comfortable. I was discharged despite my injury to the spleen and kidney not getting "better". As I understand things, I am no longer bleeding internally and the blood that clotted around my spleen while the cause of uncomfortable presurre is working to heal the rupture. The doctors had expected to see a smaller wound (I think they used the word hemotosis) in the cat scan taken the day of my release but it looked like no change had occured. So, while I'm still not out of the woods yet with respect to surgury, I am slowly recovering and may yet keep my spleen and both kidneys.

Not certain if I'll be at the Lars event as my Doc wasn't too keen on me traveling the hour to get there and then walking around for a bit. I am in negotiations with my "nurse" to see if I can have a limited visit. Look for me but please NO BEAR HUGS!

Thank you to EVERYONE who offered kind words, flowers, and cards. I am sorting thought alot of things right now but will be getting out individual thanks you to everyone. Its been said before, but I am amazed and pleased at the tightness of this community and also amazed at how much it lightened my spirits to hear from you all.

By the way, the bike doesn't look too bad but the frame and forks look to be damaged-def the frame, not sure about the forks. The insurance guy will be looking at it early this week. If he totals it outright then I will take the money and maybe look for a new M1000 though I really like the 01 M900 and would like to get that bike again. Problem is that leftover 01's are getting scarce...

Sweet-Miles is back :D :D :D
Welcome back Miles!!!!
Glad to hear you're moving around and dealing with what I'm sure is not the most comfortable of situations in the world. We hope to see you at MOT, but we totally understand if you can't make it.
Anyhow, just wanted to welcome you back.
Tarik

Hey-don't you think maybe you should look for an M600 instead [smiley=laugh.gif]
Seriously, it's good to hear you haven't been spooked and in fact are now looking to go bigger...it's just funny in weird way...

Alive and well! Been active on the CD-ROM list. No Monster at the moment so I haven't been posting to the DML at all-makes me sad :-[

Thinking of one of two things to get a bike for next spring: buying a used 900 Dark and modifying that or buying a 70s Norton or Triumph and rebuilding it.

I trust all is well with you T33?

Miles, Good to hear form you!
I'm glad you're doing well.
I've GOT to figure out how to get on that CD-ROM thing. Doh!
The Norton/Triumph idea sounds a lot like the project I'm about to take on-a little 160cc cafe racer. Those bikes are probably tons of fun, but you'll need a daily 'driver', so you're going to get a biased opinion from me: buy the Monster either way! ;D
Anyhow, all is well. I guess you heard I traded up from my M620 for an M900 in October. 8)
We've been throwing the idea around of going to bostonf1 to do some crazy laps in some fast go-carts one these weekends. I'll keep you posted-it would be great to see you there.
