Hello,

"il Mostro" is nearing the 75000 kilometers mark (46500 miles), so time for a next routine maintenance. In the past I used to just bring her to the dealer and let the dealer do this, but unfortunately, the dealership switched ownership and the new owner isn't all too trustworthy. So the shop isn't what it used to be.
So, I was thinking about doing the next maintenance myself. My question: what is it that I've got to check / replace at 75000 km (46500 mi)?
- oil: replace
- oil filter: replace
- spark plugs: replace
- chain and sprocket: not necessary, still in good condition
- tyres: not necessary, still in good condition
- air filter: not necessary, got K&N air filter
- brake pads: check, but suspect still OK
- brake fluid: leave it alone, dangerous stuff.

Anything else? Basically I will seize the opportunity to give the bike a good check-up, see if I don't spot strange things, etc.
Tips? Things to look at?

Busy. Working. Bought a house in fall last year. Since then I've only ride the bike to get to/from work.

check/adjust valves (with the mileage you have they probably are fine)
check the exhaust valve guides for excess wear
belt life is 2 years or 12000miles
syncronize carbs/throttle bodies
how long has it been since the fork/shock oil has been changed?
check /lube steering head bearings
bleed/flush brake and clutch hydraulics if needed
fuel filter? carbed bikes its not so important (lower pressure) 15000-20000miles
fuel injected bikes (higher pressure more prone to clogging) 6000-10000miles

all can be done at home with a bit of free time and some patience

These were checked and adjusted at the previous (major) maintenance, should be fine.

Belts may need to be replaced, I'll check.

Hmm, a bit too complicated to do for me.

The fork itself was replaced at the previous (70000 kms) maintenance.

Head bearings were replaced at 70000 kms maintenance.

Replaced the standard discs by floating discs and also replaced the brake calipers, and the rear brake cylinder (broken). Had a lot of problems with brakes since then (mainly squishy feeling), I still feel the squishy feeling sometimes but despite that the brakes work excellently. Like dropping an anchor. But still, a squishy feeling (like there's air in the brake lines but there isn't any)
