My dealer says he doen't recommend the cooler for my 620, but my thinking is that cooler oil is happier oil and with the wet clutch I would think that oil temp might be more of an issue than with the bigger bikes with dry clutches.

I have one on my 620, but it only sees very hard track use.

no cooler for mine....its 110 in the summer, no issues at all. then again, I'm not planning on keeping hte 620 for 8 years either.

Only thing it could hurt is in cold weather viscosity needs to be lower so oil heats up quickly. Otherwise oil doesn't film properly and lubrication is lacking. My 620 sometimes never registers a temperature for 20 minutes in 50 degree weather.
