Ok, so I'm new to the whole motorcycle thing, got my first bike, a 2006 M620, about 2 months ago. I just got the 14t front sprocket, and was wondering if anyone had any experience getting larger rear sprockets for it. It comes with a 15t / 48t stock setup. I was thinking about going larger in the rear, in addition to going down a tooth in the front. I was given Sprocket Specialists as a possible source for a larger rear sprocket. So, a couple of questions.

A) Anyone here have any experience with Sprocket Specialists
B) Any concerns running a 14 / 51 or 14/52 or 14/53 as far as fitment or reliability? Assuming I'm not going to be doing interstate riding or travelling with this setup, primarily for tooling around under 60 mph. I don't care about bringing down the top speed either.

Cheers,
Keith

And lots of power wheelies too....

Seriously now, i don't think it's a very good idea for your bike. It alternates the whole character for which the bike was designed.

Even in the Tuonos (at least the ones that are imported to Greece), Aprilia gives the 15t sprocket under the seat (tuonos front setup is 16t).

This is going to be more and more popular to bike manufacturers due to the more strict Euro emissions regulations, where the bikes should demonstrate lower emissions at given rpm (llarger transmission ratios).
