Hi,

I have got an M600 2001 and I have noticed that when the engine is cold it is only running on the horizontal cylinder. The vertical doesn't get warm.
Because of this it does not have the power to idle.
To "fix" this I have to ride a while so the engine gets warm, put it in the highest gear and around 4k rpm the bike starts coughing and then the other cylinder starts working.

So far I have replaced the plugs and switch place of the plugs.
I do get spark.
Replaced the fuel filter.
Replaced the air filter.
Checked the cables to the coils.
I switched place of the spark plug cables, but then the bike didn't start at all.

I have termignoni exhaust, the rest is stock.

I can't figure out what part needs to get warm for the vertical cylinder to work. Do you have any idea?

I have inlcuded a picture of the spark plug in the vertical cylinder after 150 km (93mile)

If I were a betting man the issue is in your carburetor.

The carbs are easy. The cables and intake tubes are the PITA. It seems like you are only getting fuel through one carb until it gets up and running. The carbs have a slide that is spring loaded and seals off the port when not in use. There is a tiny little metal fuel line that draws fuel through a little jet in the carb float area and drops it past the slide and into the intake. If one of those tubes or jets is clogged, then you will only run on 1 cylinder until the bike is warm enough to not need the choke, then you will be on to the regular idle jet circuit.
