Arrow Ti cans. Still too new (170 miles) to say much. Will get 41T rear sprocket and new air filter at first service (along w/ CO adjust). Should further perk things up.
Glad I'm a customer of one of the best Ducati performance shops in the country (BCM Motorsports www.bcmducati.com). The shop is very high on the DS motor. Very thermally efficient, very mild cams, etc. A lot more power awaiting us owners.
S4 guys,
do I feel envy .... ;D
1000DS has a radiator, but it is for OIL !!!! ;D
As "fastbike" said, the same I hear here. All 1000DS motors have a great feedback, and also some other Italian factorys like are mating 1000DS to superlight frames.
Keep the mods coming M1000 owners. And later also opinions of changed behavior towards stock.
MY03 M1000S i.e.
#1 Strati Cans - sound great but lost a little bottom end power.
#2 Metisse Frame sliders - bad idea.
#3 Cyclecat clip-ons - Look the business.
#4 CRG hindsight mirrors - toss the OEMs.
#4 K&N crank breather - Looks kool!
#5 Home made license plate relocator - tidy up rear end.
#6 Dropped front end 22mm - sharper handling.
#7 After market Corse Stripe decal kit - Looks good.
...............
Still to come:
41 tooth rear sprocket.
Raise rear end ( 30mm ).
High mount CF pipes (Termis or maybe FBF)
Open Air Box / new filter
Modify FIM map
My '03 M1000 has Sil C/F high mounts. And as you all know by now Sils sound awesome.
I also replaced the stock seat with a Corbin. After some brief instillation issues it works fine and is a vast improvement in comfort over the OEM unit.
I was looking at one of those -- for $11 it seems worth a try, but I haven't talked with anyone whose tried it. What's your expert opinion on its real life effectiveness? I'd love to get the mirrors off my bike..
