For my plastic tank, I'd like to have a tank bag without using straps. Seems the Luggage Locker has a locking system that locks it to the gas tank mounting bracket. The Marsee has a magnetic gizmo that attaches it to the gas tank mounting bracket.

Has anyone used either of these? The Marsee is twice the price, but looks like it's about 30% bigger. Would there be any negatives? I'm a bit skeptical that they won't touch the tank at all.

I'm looking for a similar system.
What are folks using on nonmetalic tanks?
Did you go ahead and get one of these?

Can't help with the specifics of the product, but if I were going to get one I'd go with the Marsee and have it rigged as an electric. I say this just due to my lengthy conversation with Carl Marsee who I ran into at my dealer. Stand-up guy and true enthusiast. My wife and I use their race gloves and wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy anything else they made that we needed.

We BSed for quite some time about all manner of bike stuff.

Went with RKA. They use straps, but make special coverings so the straps have the same coating that the bottom of most tank bags do. Can be constructed for the electrical as well. Great product!

This is what I use and most of the guys I ride with. Absolutely wonderful system that mounts to a gas cap ring and is rock solid. If you do a search on Bags-Connection or TwistedThrottle.com you will probably see many guys who went to this system after the plastic tank became the de facto standard.

Powering electrical things from your bike's battery. GPS, communication devices, heated grips & vests, etc. Bags can be constructed so that the wires can run easily from place to place without hanging all over. RKA even makes a bag with a special compartment for the line of communicators & GPSs they sell.
