I'm looking to buy a monster and found one with real low miles - < 1k and the bike is an '04. The owner said he hasn't done anything maintenance wise since it has been in a heated garage. It appears to be in perfect condition exterior wise..

I'm new to Ducatis so my question is what kind of maintenance am I looking at other than oil change to get this thing in shape? Belts / valve adjustment, etc.?

Anything else I should look for on the bike?

Thanks!

belts are scheduled to be replaced every 12k or 2 years.
there was a first service due at 600mi.

fluid change.
if the gas wasnt stored properly...that could be gunked up
tires may be starting to get hard, or have flat spots if they were in one place too long
there is also a owners manual you can download from ducati.com

Thanks for the advice.. I bought it

'04 620 with 570 miles... it looks brand new. Only problem is the front brake doesn't light the brake light.. I can hear the switch clicking, but it doesn't work.. can't be that hard..

Plan to take it to Indy Ducati for the 600 mile service whenever this crappy Indy weather goes away!
