It doesn't work--found out the hard way. Could it be a burned out bulb? It doesn't come on--like the oil and temp lights do--when first turning the key on. How to test? Get a bulb at dealer--or any general motorcycle parts place?

A burned out bulb would sure be cheaper than $114.00 sensor unit dealer quoted me...

The sensors don't have a very good reliability record, that's for sure.

The parts catalogue doesn't show the bulbs as a seperate part, but that's not necessarily the case.

hm. you might try and pull the gauges apart, and check out the bulb... generally speaking, the low-fuel light just stays on all the time if the sensor dies.

(or at least that's how it went for me, and for all the other cases i've heard about.)
