I just got my cycle cat frame sliders yesterday (thanks to Chris and California Cycleworks). The directions state to use red Loctite during installation. The Loctite website says that to remove red, you need to use heat.
Granted, the manufacturer also says that they assume that I'm using these things on the track, which, for the time being, I am not. Given that I won't be abusing them too much, will blue Loctite suffice? Red seems to be a pain to remove, since I don't have a heat gun.

Sapper , I too just got a set of their sliders from Chris and was wondering red or blue. I think I'm going to use blue and check the fasteners from time to time. I know from past experience that red is a pure b!tch to get loose once torqued.
