Hi

My 02 S4, with 10,000Km uses oil. I have noticed that I have to keep topping up the oil very 2,000Km or so.

From the 10k service only I will measure the consumption and report back here.

Meanwhile, can others tell me of their S4 uses oil, and opinions on how "normal" this is. To me it seems that having to top up from about the min. level marker every 2-2,500Km is a bit eccessive.

That does seem a bit thirsty to me. Mine's been going for 2.5k miles and hasn't used a drop (12k miles total). On the other hand, I did have to refill about a quart after about 150 miles when I did that trackday @ 2000 miles.

I change the oil/filter every 1500-2000 miles and have never noticed any oil consumption between changes.

I have a 2000 M750 with 20,000 miles on it and it doesn't use oil like that. I have never been to a track day but I ride it very frequently.
