The sight glass on the right side of the bike is to check oil level. What is the purpose of the left hand sight glass? Should there be oil seping through to this left side? I have a dry clutch on my bike. I noticed some oil in there the other day. Is this a problem?

the sight glass on the left is for timing, and, yes, with the engine running you will see oil. i assme you mean oil on the inside of the glass.

Not to worry. The glass on the left side is to see the TDC and timing marks on the edge of the flywheel. You'll see a little oil on the flywheel or the glass from time to time.

my left side sight glass has an oil film on the outside, not enough to drip, but again blaming it on the full syn. Soon to be serviced and will check all then, unless it starts to drip . Mine is a wet clutch.
