2000 900 Monster - fuel injected.

The bike is due for service ie valves/injection etc but...

When it gets warmed up and you rev the bike at a standstill the revs fall back to about 4000rpm then the motor takes a while (a second or two) to fall back to idle speed.

Too LEAN, too RICH or just time for the valves or ?

Sounds too lean to me.

May have an air leak making it lean...hard to believe the stock injection would be that far off.

I don't think that is a lean, rich or valve adjust problem.

It's something else, either a vacuum leak, or some kind of faulty injection idle control piece.

I've run both normal unleaded ( I think about 92) and Premium which I think is about 96. (Aussie petrols). It has always run okay on both previous. I'm going to check for air leaks but I tend to agree it may be something to do with the fuel injection. The fact it does it only when hot suggests something but I'll have to think about it.
