I'm getting the bug now that I've been around a track a little bit.

Thinking about going to Jennings GP either the weekend before Biketoberfest, or the last weekend in October.

Also thinking ahead to November whether I make it in Oct or not (hopefully once in each month)

Anybody going in this timeframe, or interested in trying to meet up there?

Hi Don,

The track is located just off I-75 just south of the GA/FL state line. Probably about 1 1/2 hrs or 1:45 north of Ocala.

The web site has lots of good info on how to get there, track layout, events calendars through the end of this year.

It's a four hour drive for me from the Space Coast, so I will probably try to set myself up to go up the afternoon before and camp at the track (they're set up pretty well for basic camping at or near your pit spot). I've only been there once for Code's school, but I know if I go up the night before, I can do a full day and still have enough left for the drive home that evening.

Let me know if you come up with a plan to try it out. I'm hoping to get up there at least twice by the end of the year - three times would be outstanding. Even once would be satisfying!

I shot that track last January. It was very cool. I wish I brought the bike down instead of the camera. Some of my shots are on the Jennings GP page. This year I will ride the event instead.....Dennis

Dennis, do they alow anyone to show up and take pics? The budget doesn't allow for riding right now [smiley=dissappointed.gif], but I'd love to take pictures of the track day. [smiley=wink.gif]

There is a a photographer there who shoots the events. He sells out of trailer there. He is a very nice guy. He granted me permission to shoot since we came down as a club with our own members. I then spent the day wroking with him to see how he does his work. It was refreshing work with a photographer who was willing to share ideas. Most track guys are territorial and have outsiders removed. I liked working with him so much, I contributed my work to hs cause and let him sell my work as well as his(he made more money then usual). I asked nothing in exchange other then to allow me to sell mine online after the event. I still paid for my trip and made a little money. To make a long story short, call in advance and get permission. Jennings GP is willing to work with people.

I am planning on a day soon. I wanted to do this weekend but work has gotten in the way. The 2nd weekend in Nov is looking pretty good.

Yeah, October has slipped by me, too. I've got a tentative trip planned with a friend for the 8th or 9th. I'm also looking at the following weekend 15-16th with the Sportbike Track Time track days. There are some people scheduled to be there that I want to meet. If I can do both, so much the better

Where are you located, BPT? I'm 4 hrs south of Jennings on the Space Coast.
