Thanks for the recommendation. As I get older and heal less quickly, I think I'm turning into a wimp. I've lately become a protection zealot almost always wear a back protector under my jacket. I've always tended to migrate towards Dainese because of the strategically placed plastic armor. Current jacket is unvented, so it can get toasty in the summertime.
All good comments, but I wanted to note that I was referring to the perf'ed leather Fieldsheer. That's what I have.
I tried out the various Joe Rocket and fieldsheer mesh jackets and frankly, didn't like the way the Fieldsheer hung and supported the armor. If you want mesh, I like the Reactor best; it's mesh with leather shoulders and arm panels. It just holds its shape better and keeps the armor in place.
As I said in my earlier post, the leather Sport Air is comfortable enough for me in the heat and gives a lot more protection than mesh.
I picked mine up at the races (Laguna Seca) ... they usually have discounts at the events - it's pretty cold outside at the moment in most places - if you can wait until summer then that would be a good time to get one
The jacket retails for about $559. Unfortuantely I am not getting them in for about 3 more weeks as I just sold out of them but I will post a picture a little later on. As I like to say the perforation is " minty "
Yup. Perf'd through the torso. Option for a back protector which is always a nice thing to have. One of the most comfortable leather jackets. Dainese also makes a leather jacket that is 100% perf'd feels like a t-shirt. Definately minty.
Joe Rocket Reactor jacket. I love it... shoulders, outside sleeves, chest and upper back perfed leather. The rest mesh. The usual JR soft armor. Cool in 90 degree (while moving).
I recommend. Found it at cyclepages.com for $169.
