I saw a helmet painted like an Italian flag on a guy on a mille a week ago. I thought it looked really cool and would like to have one. I have searched the web and found nothing of the sort. Anyone seen this before? Or is this a custom job.
I've seen a couple AGV helmets with the colors of the Italian flag in their designs/paint-scheme, but they look more like race-replica designs than the italian flag itself. :-/
I swear I have seen an Older Arai with the Italian tri-color,
I am not finding anything either.....hard since they off the net and don't list their old ones, but I will keep looking....
I been shopping for a helmet, and i have seen that arai makes a helmet painted as an itailian flag. It is a very simple paint scheme unlike the above agv. The arai is divided into three colored sections. It may not be a 2004 model, but i am quite sure it was in the 2003 catalog.
okay getting closer apparently there was an earlier Agostini replica, iwth gold on the bottom and gren white and red by Arai and maybe even AGV also.....
I would check Italian websites, if they exist, for different brands. Considering that you can find American flag styles from most manufacturers, I would imagine you could find some Italian ones. Remember, many products are tailored for specific markets...
I found those looking at the Italian version of google, http://www.google.it/ . I'm sure there are more out there, you can usually finnd just about anything if you search enough...
What I did was find a really good custom helmet painter and gave him my ideas for a helmet and turned him loose. The results were fabulous! It was one of the best things I did for me. It becomes a very personal thing, much more than I expected. I used a guy called Happy Head Graphics but there is Troy Lee and others on the web. It costs as much as a new helmet but it's totally worth every penny. You get not only a work of art but a personal expression of you and it's something you have to have anyway.
