We have a meeting at 1030 this morning. The company is being split into 2 groups and it sounds like one of the groups is going to get laid off. I am in the same group as the president of the company so hopefully she aint gettin canned. There are 2 other department heads in my group also. Of course this is speculation, it could be something else all together, but the one or two people in the know say not to expect it to be good.
So on the bright side, if I do get laid off, it is a beautiful day for a ride! If they give me the balance of my vacation, I may take a little trip. Corporate America sucks.

we are both getting laid off 12/31. I have my meeting with HR in 20 minutes to find out my severance.

I have been brainstorming that issue for a while now. I would definitely want Monsters involved. We could spoof the Real World. This is what happens when five hooligans have to share one garage. MAke it like reality tv and each week the host gives out a set of keys to everyone. If the key starts the bike they get to go on the next ride. Maybe get cafe racing in there too. I was thinking about a show based on stupid laws that different states have too. Like in Wisconsin it is against the law to have an erection showing through your pants. We could ride the Monsters through Madison with cucumbers shoved into the tights we would be wearing. See if we could get pulled over or something.

I am actually happy that this is going down. I needed an excuse to get a better job and this is my sign I suppose. They are giving me 6 weeks severance + my bonus and time off. So its not a bad deal. Not enought to get my 999s, but I will be able to take a nice trip. 8)

I work for a broker-dealer (financial services). My degree is in aeronautics- double minor in Av safety and Biz Admin.
I am going to try to get into the FAA or something like that- I hope....
