Hi, I did a search of the boards for this and found no clear answer. I appologize if it's an old topic.

Anyway, is there any problem with replacing the throttle control on a Monster that has the Immobilizer system (i.e. 2002 model and beyond) with a non-OEM throttle control? I know that the immobilizer system uses throttle control position to reset the system, but I don't know if there are electronics built into the control or not.
Thanks!

If you're meaning the throttle assembly on the handlebar, you can replace that with anything you like.

The Throttle Position Sensor is mounted on the throttle bodies under the airbox.

Yes, the handlebar throttle control is a basic manual one-way cable assemble w/ the return spring at the lower pivot on the engine. If you are interested, the OEM manufacture is Domino. http://www.domino-tommaselli.com/
