Is there anyone here who lives in Illinois or in the Chicago area who can recommend a reputable reliable shop for Ducati Service? My 2003 bike has starter issues that the shop where I bought the bike cannot diagnose after 5 weeks. Any help would be appreciated.

MCC in Villa Park had been nothing but wonderful for me. These guys love bikes and care about what they do. Unlike most dealers that just sell and service bikes, they have a passion for the bikes they sell. Greg is the owner and his brother Jeff is another great knowledgeable guy. As far as their service dept, everytime I have been in there for whatever reason, they always seem to tell customers waiting that their bike is done, to the customers amazement, sooner than expected. I'll be headin in the in a few weeks to have my bike lowered a tad and have the computer remapped for slipons and a K&N filter. Hope this helps a little, good luck in your hunt!!

I have also heard MCC is great. My roommates monster is there right now getting a bunch of work done. so far he is happy with their knowledge and responsiveness but the bike isn't back yet so i can't comment on quality of work. there is also a place on goose island that is rumored to be really good, not a dealer but some good mechanics. i am not sure what the name of it is but if you head south on halsted, turn right or west on division and then left or south on one of the roads near the fed ex location you should be able to find it. i'm sure you will see bike outside of the place. Once again i am not speaking from experience just word of mouth from friends. good luck....
