I dropped off the remains of my M900 at the local mechanic today and it took him all of 5 seconds to pronounce it totalled. (Norm Brown already has dibbs on the remains.)

What I need is as many references as possible to 1995-1998 M900
Monsters that are for sale or that have sold in the past year or so, to present to my insurance company as evidence of why they should pay me a higher price for it. I would really appreciate any links that any of you might post here.

I'll be away from internet access for a week, so I won't be able to properly thank all of you until about October 17. I thank you all in advance anyway.

Other than the hacked off tail, Corbin seat, and slightly shortened stock pipes, it was close to stock. I took off all the carbon stuff earlier this year.

I guess I need a better title to get a helper or two in tracking down comparative pricing. :-[

Scott - start a list of things that increase the value over stock. Here's 2: professionally done suspension (if you like, I can get you a price from Ohlins (read:high!!)); brand new expensive tires. Find a couple of high asking prices in your local cycle trader, etc, & argue that the book value (which is what the insurance company will start with), is way too low for these bikes. Then add your mods to the cost of the other "for sale" bikes. Did you have anything painted? new brake pads?
