Remove the bolts holding the outer cap on. You only need remove three of them, at 12, about 4, and abou 8 oclock.
Then remove the small grub screws that secure the lower assy to the tank.
Then if you pull hard enough and straigh up the lower assy will come out. Sometimes you may have Make sure to use a rag or something to protect the paint.
Then disconnect the breather and drain hose from the lower assy.
Then you can reach in and unplug the electrical commector from the pump.
Then you can pull the pump and filter assy from the tank and disconnect the hoses.
At this point you can completely drain the tank before removing the fuel sending unit.
That should about cover it.
