A buddy of mine believe that a bike is no good after 15K. How many of you have more that this and how old are your bikes?

I think your friend has suffered some kind of trauma... ::)

I'll have had my '02 S4 a year on next Saturday, and I've got 9500 on it. I rode with some folks this weekend that rack up 15k a year on their Beemers, or even more....

Quite a few folks here over 15k, surely.

Wonder what your friend would think about my car being at 237k?

I turned 65k on my 2 valver before the end of last year, hoping for 75k this year. I heard about someone who had 91k on an SS about 6 years ago.

I think Laura has about 24k on her `00 M900S. My SS (formerly Higgie's) has 47k on it. My 888 SPO has 18k and is just getting it's first clutch...

None of them fell apart at 15k. ;D

Unfortunately down south (Oztrailya that is) we speaketh in km's. My 2000 900ie has done 35,000kms and is still going strong. Despite numerous wheelies (admitted third gear at the most) and ride days at Eastern Creek.

My last first two 2-valver Dukes did 88,000kms and 77,000kms respectively. Just gotta keep maintaining them and they'll go forever. Probably?

My 2000 600 Dark had 22,512 on it when it was totalled in 2002....19 months after I bought it.

No problems with it at all ;D

Only 10K on the Monster, but 35K on the Twincam FXDX and 40K on my wife's Evo Superglide. No problems at all from any of them. Had 28K on her 1988 Sporty without any problems. I had 40K on my '91 Lowrider when I sold it and the only problem (other than a big crash) was an o ring in the push rod tube that failed at 35K. Took me an afternoon to fix. Had a 1983 Honda (head hung in shame :-[) CB1000C. At 55K, it developed a leak between the 2 transmissions (yep, a 10 speed with 2 shifters on the left side). It was still running fine when I sold it at 65K.

15K is nothing on modern bikes unless you flog them mercilessly.

I got 1992 FLSTC with over 40000 miles registered.

Problems:
battery cable
flat tire
one stuck valve on 1992.

Pros:
