more weight?

I only weight 185 but I hear the standard weight set by the factory is 150 pounds?

Is this correct? ::)

Thanks,

Tom.

start by setting the sag on your bike.
suspension unloaded and topped out. measure from a place on the swing arm to a place on the frame above. write down this number.
then preferably with a friend holding the bike uprite you get on the bike ( with gear unless you ride naked) , have someone measure the same spots as before.
subtract the loaded measurement from the unloaded measurement and you have your sag numbers.
from past experience on monsters you probably will have from 1 5/8 to 2inches (going on a weight of 185lbs...dry? no gear?)

repeat the same for the front.

now you can wind in some preload to the shock and if you have adjustable forks to them as well.
the idea is to compress the spring more so that there is less sag. too much pre-load can have some unwanted effects.
try to get the sag number to 1 1/4 to 1 3/8inches at either end
cheers
