I mean seriously it is terrible....I've got bicycle seats that weigh about 100 grams that are more comfortable than the stock seat after an hour. I guess I better start rereading the Sargent/Corbin threads. Just had to share just how numb my ass was tonight...did I really just write that?

Almost the first thing I did was dump the stock seat. It shoved me into the tank so hard I thought I was going to need a cup in my jock strap. I've had both Corbin and Sargent seats on various motorcycles over the years, including my M900 and I'd recommend the Sargent seat over Corbin. Of course others might have a different opinion, but I've had both.

And they were improved in 2000, they were far worse.

I am a little reluctant to offer advice since I am new to this board and I don't have the bike yet.

Before you go out and spend $300 + on a new seat ,I'd find some one who's got one first and try it. You could end up dumping alot of cash on a seat that may not feel any better. The stock seat on my Monster feels ok to me, but everyone is different.
