I would like to upgrade my stock pipes to high-rise carbon fiber ones (2 in 2).

I'm not sure what pipes you are talking about..can you name the brand.

Anyhoo..anything motowheels sells is going to be good, and motowheels is good.

The carbon don't get that hot. My GGF rode back there on my bike with NO complaints.

I was thinking of the Sil Motor high-mount round...

Yes, it's my GF's legs I was worried about ;) *until she gest her own 620i.e. or something like that).

Do you know if they are 85db or 105db?

Thanks!

I have Sil Motor high mount round carbon slip-ons:

(1) Look nice. Work well with a chopped tail

Thanks for the great info! Which raises more questions :): How did you chop your tail? Do you have a pic you could email me ([email protected])?

I've got Sils (branded Ferracci) on my ST2 and think they're awesome - a buddy has the high mount carbons on his Monster and they're very nice. Totally different sound than Termis (which is what I put on my Monster) - more boom-y, less roar-y. Great price, too.

Never used MotoWheels but have heard very good things.

I'll see if I can post up some pics of my tail chop later tonight.

Wow. Pretty awesome! And cheap... I might give it a try.

Thanks a lot for all the info and the great pics.

Did you run into trouble with the cops for having the license plate so out of the way?

Well the nice officer that pulled over my group today didn't mention anything. He let us go, by the way. No hassles so far (*fingers crossed*). I've only been out with it like that three times though. I really ought to add a light, and I may need to bring it up a bit higher, as the guys riding behind me today said it's pretty hard to see. If someone tells me to move it, I'll move it.
