Hi Yall...,
The speedometer on my '04 m620 isn't funtioning. When turning on the ignition the needle does it's usual jump (as does the tach) but once the bike is in gear it reads nothing. All other indicators work...so before i call the dealership and yell "warranty..!!!" is there anything i can check for myself..??

C'mon ya wiz kids...give a brudda a hand please...!?!?!?

??? ??? ???

The sensor is attached to the rear brake caliper bracket, trace the wire up to it's connector at the wiring harness. If it's unplugged, you've found it. If it's plugged in, unplug it and inspect the plugs for obvious problems. Plug it back in and see if it works.

Does the odometer rack up any miles while the speedo isn't working?

Ok so neither the tach or odometer are working though both are still lit. What i believe happened was i had my rear tire changed over the weekend and following speeds lead i traced the cable back to the rear brake caliper and found a section of the cable to be "pinched" between some kinda nut and the swingarm at an odd angle...i'll take a pic and post it when i get home. Doesn't look like something i can do myself but i'll let ya know what happens. In the meantime thanks folks...!!!
