I have a Seargent seat and need to remove the stock seat on a 2003 Ducati 999 bi-postol, anyone out there have a site or can give me directions on what needs to be done to remove the stock seat....thanks a lot for any help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
There are a few superbike riders in here who may be able to answer that. First thing I did to my 749 was to replace the stock plank, err I mean seat, with a Sargeant one but had a friend do it for me so I can't answer it.
BECK
YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE FOUR BOLTS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE RIDER'S SEAT( TWO ON EACH SIDE), POP THE PASSENGER SEAT OFF WITH THE KEY, REMOVE THE TWO BOLTS AT THE BACK OF THE PASSENGER SEAT BASE, THEN LIFT THE SEAT AND TANK AS A UNIT, UNDER THE SEAT/ TANK ASSEMBLY IS A 17MM HEAD BOLT DIRECTLY IN THE CENTER OF THE THE ASSEMBLY, REMOVE THAT BOLT AND SEPARATE THE SEAT FROM THE TANK.
HOPE THIS HELPS
