I bought a new 2002 900i.e. this past July. It did not have a headlight fairing or a tailcowl. After some research online (see below), I discovered some specs saying that it comes with the headlight fairing (i cannot find in writing about the tailcowl just the photographs from ducati). My dealer is getting me the headlight fairing, but noone is sure if it is standard or optional. I even called Ducati of North America, and spoke to their customer service, and he didn't know and was supposed to find out and get back to me and the dealer, but never did, and never returned any of my calls. My bike came with the brackets welded to the frame and the grommets that are on the turn signal screws already, but no fairing.
If someone can tell me for sure, and has written proof either way, I would like to know.
Thanks,
JMK

Don't know if mine is an i.e., but my M900 came with a fairing and a seat cowl. I don't think that the darks come with either, but I'm not sure (mine is red). Hope that helps.

LOL. I am a patient person, so I will keep hounding them till the give me a satisfactory answer with documentation to back it up. I am happy with the bike and bought it for a really good price, but I want to make sure I got everything I paid for. But for now, I am perfectly content to ride it around. If it comes down to it, I will contact someone in Bologna, Italia.
