Hey guys (and gals) I got some issues with my 2007 Monster S4R. First lovely bike hell of a lot of fun and runs reasonably well, but it has issues that have come to light. First is the speedo-odometer are way off. 15-25mph depending on speed. After searching it appears that I have an after market cluster possibly from a GT or super classic. I will have attached some pics one of what its supposed to be and another of what it is. Mine has the vintage Ducati font on the cluster. My second and most important question is, in all the paperwork and transfer of this bike to me (less than 2 months old) I got a black key a red key prior copies of title etc. But no ELECTRONIC card stating the magic code if it ever gets immobilized. It starts with both keys, is there any way to get the ecu read to figure out what my secret squirrel code is? I would really feel safer knowing that I have it. There is a little metal tab with some numbers on the red key and ring but I have no way of knowing if those are the code. Any help is appreciated. Oh so, when I went to the dealer to get it serviced they said it had an aftermarket ECU as well... So cluster ECU... Hoping I didn't get something.... hot, as it were. I am telling myself it was more likely an electronics failure all the way around, hence new cluster maybe keys and ECU as well as a PCIII to tell the ECU what to really do.

When I bought my 07 S4RS the PO gave me a card in a sleeve which I assumed was “THE”
card, but later when I needed it I found it was just a warranty card , not the code. The information I received at the time was that there wasn’t a way to get the code and I would have to buy a new matching cluster plus ignition . Do a forum search for info.
I hope things have progressed since then.

I had a specialist motorcycle locksmith read the codes out of my ECU and cut new keys and supply me back with both the electronic and mechanical codes for a pretty cheap price. I know it's not in USA but the guy was Mike from Ostan Locksmiths in Melbourne, Australia. I mailed him my ECU in an expresspost satchel and he did the job and mailed it back. He did mention that he gets plenty of international clients also. So maybe want to chat to him : https://www.ostanlock.com.au/
