Jet-Hot is doing my Quat-D ex box exhaust right now, and I'm pretty sure the ceramic does lower the overall heat of the pipes as well as allow them to cool quicker. Just stole a pic from their site regarding exhaust temperatures with and without coating. They recommend (and include in their cost) coating both inside and outside of the pipes. Cost on mine was $150.
