I would like to raise the handlebars on my 2003 monster 800 by one inch and move them back one inch. Will I have to modify any cables or lines? Has anyone completed this modification? What brands of products did you use and are you satisfied with the results? Thanks, Ducman.

They are a set of aluminum risers I had made up. It brings the bars up 1 1/2

Hot setup from Ducati Oceanside: Flanders Daytona Tour Style handlebars, 50 bucks. 3" H, 7" pull back, 5" ctr, 29.5" W. You have to drill a couple of holes for the switchgear in the bars, re-route the throttle and choke cable, rotate the the clutch and brake hose banjo fittings downward at their respective mastercylinders, and adjust the steering stops. Easier than it sounds. Very comfy, more upright than stock but still leaned forward, kind of like a naked SV650. The 7" pullback is what makes the big difference.
