I was elated to come home from work to find that my new Sil Motor high mounts had been delivered after waiting three weeks. I went straight to the garage to put 'em on. Though instructions were not included, it was pretty clear to me that I had to remove the left rearset to install the included spacers. A few busted knuckles later and it was off. Sitting on the floor on the left side of my bike, I momentarily looked down to pick up a wrench from the floor -

In my haste and excitement, I had failed to notice that one of the bolts holding the rearset on was also holding the kickstand in place. In hindsight, I'm amazed that the bike stayed upright for as long as it did. Thankfully, there was no Monster-to-concrete contact, and I was able to right it - of course, trying to bolt the rearset/stand back with one had while supporting the bike with the other hand was an experience in-and-of itself. I think I need to buy a real stand before attempting anything like that again. For those of you planning on installing new pipes, I highly recommend a second set of hands!
