group ride soon??

Was checking the local forecast this AM and it looks much better after this upcoming Monday's potential rain. Temps back in the mid-upper 60s and sunny. Weather.com's 10 day forecast even shows next Saturday in the low 70s. I know it's really a bad time of year with everyone so busy but I thought I would plant the seed for a group ride. Don't know where but maybe next Saturday if the forecast holds/improves? Even a small group/short ride later in the week like Thursday or Friday if people can flake out of work, etc.
Any thoughts??? Even another lunch, on Saturday, on bikes this time?

Next sat or Sun would be best for me. New boss in town so I want to get some brownie points during the week. :)
Count me in; Thursday or Friday as long as I'm back home by 3:15... Either Saturday or Sunday works too. Can you believe our good luck with riding weather in December?!?
Thanks guys, let's keep an eye on the forecast and maybe shoot for Saturday. I would think weekends work best for most. Lisa, I'll keep an open mind for Friday also, if it falls apart we always have Saturday as a backup. Would be nice to do a little on Friday and a little more on Saturday! Sounds too good though!

Take care,

Brian
Yeah, that's cool. Where do you like to ride? I've gotten a bit... bored (maybe too strong a word) with ride routes out west.
Anywhere! My personal rides are too boring to mention. I used to ride up 289/Preston Road and buzz 455 when no one lived out that way. Rode out there recently and couldn't believe how dinged up the tarmac was. Have a farm/property near Era, Tx and used to ride out through Pilot Point before Lake Ray Roberts up via Gainesville to Muenster up 373 toward the Red River dirt bike area toward St. Jo and wind my way back towards the Denton area through Krum. Haven't done that in a while but that is probably the very roads you are bored with! I'm up for anything, any road is good for me as long as it's not interstate! Unless interstate takes me to something good!
ya it would be nice to get my bike all fixed up and riding again.

Same with the roads northeast of Dallas. Yawn... I needed to run the bike a bit the other day but I didn't have time to go for a ride. So I slapped my bike on it arse and off it went. It knows the route.

Maybe do a run down south of Fort Worth? Just someplace with some twisty roads. The highway bores me to tears. :p
I am certainly open to anything, weather still looks good, they've lowered the temp on Saturday a bit but it's still above normal and looks sunny. If more folks can go Sunday instead (and the weather is still good) that's cool too.
South East (palestine/Athens etc) has some good roads... [thumbsup]
Sunday is the only day i can join you monsters, I worky retail and no way for me to take off Sun. I love the East Mr.G. Tioga ride is good and the kick ass hamburgers in Collinsville. I will keep watching to see what transpires.

My weekend has been shortend up on me by the wife. Thought I had 2 fairly clear days, knew it was too good to be true, especially this time of the year. Gotta watch the little nipper on Sunday, seems I forgot about the girl's Xmas tea at the Adolphus at 2:00 on Sunday... being the mouth breathing troglodyte goon that I am I can see how I forgot about the tea! I would have to be back by 1:30 at the latest and that's no good, so it seems Saturday is my best shot.
I would be up for saturday or sunday. Anywhere is good for me with weather like this. Hico or Stephenville could be fun also.

Awesome! I vote Saturday if that works for enough folks (tho Sunday works for me also) - Hico or Stephenville?

I vote sunday, and hope the bike is done. =)
I'm n for Saturday & Sunday!
I vote Saturday, Sunday as a option.

Who can lead the ride and where should we meet? I'm coming from the Rockwall area so the Hico area is all new to me.

Suppose to be a great day weather wise!

Hey Haywrye... ya out there? That's your stomping grounds.
I'm new to you guys so I volunteer to not lead anyone anywhere, best I follow ya'll until you are used to me. I'm a guest on this one. Any route is OK with me as long as we don't have to leave at the crack of dawn. Ideas??

You are right, the weather is looking really good... better take a picture of it Rami!! You'll be missed.
