I bought the oem version for my 2019 1200s. I wanted to install them myself but the dealer had to program my bike to integrate it with the switchgear. I think the labor was 100 bucks to install. They work great btw.

I have the Koso HG13 (or Apollo), has the switch built-in into the left grip. I didn't like to add a separate control-box.

If you want to ride with really low temperatures heated gloves are the way to go

I used heated grips for a couple of seasons and while I loved how the heat felt on the palm, they failed to keep the rest of the hand warm at high speeds because of the cold wind. I think that either heated gloves, like somebody else posted above, or those weird contraptions that look like cooking mitts that go over the grip AND the hand, would work better, but maybe it was just me and my perpetually-feeling-like-I-am-freezing condition....
