1) The good news is that my insurance company OK'd the work that needed to be done on my bike and some of the work is being done as we speak. The claims agent noticed that my muffler was scratched up (coulda been cuz I bought them that way offf eBay) and suggested that I replace that. So they gave me an extra $795 for a new muffler. Damn, that's expensive. Greg from MCC told me that the cored mufflers weren't too good for the bike (not the first time I have heard this) and after we discussed my options, he ordered me a pair of Remus aluminum slip-ons, both for $695. I'm gonna lose some sound but gain the performance they said. They're also installing a K&N and removing the stock airbox snorkels and adjusting the stock ecu to compensate for it. Not to mention I am getting it lowered an inch. I cannot wait to get it back, it will not be the same bike you all saw.

2) The even better news.....I'm gonna be a daddy!!! We've known my wife was pregnant for the last few weeks, but she had a miscarriage a few months ago so we had to have her go through some tests to make sure this would work out. So far so good, almost 9 weeks she is. I don't know what anyones religious beliefs are, but if you could keep her in your prayers I would appreciate it. I don't think either of us could handle another miscariage. But I am VERY positive about this one. I am gonna have a new mind to pass along the ducati obsession. My nephew suggested naming it Duey if it was a boy, short for Ducati. My wife rolled her eyes and said "Hell NO!"...lol

3) Now on to the iffy news...baby is expected beginning of june. Nothing like taking away ride time with changin dipers right...lol. So unfortunately, as the next riding season approaches, my ride time will be limited so I can share in the responsibilities of parenthood. But realistically that isn't a bad thing. It's a give and take. She let me buy the bike and I know she would never tell me I can't go riding, I just have to make sure I pull my weight.

Anyway, ride safe my MOCHA brothers...until next time! 8)

Congratulations my friend...on all mentioned! I'm glad insurance was OK'd and your bike is getting fixed. It sounds like you're the first M.O.C.H.A. to plant a seed! I think you may have started something (for us who only practice on how to make babies)! That's good shyte though.

Are the K&N's the cone style? I was thinking about getting them along with the TPO beast intake system (I know you're familiar with that). Keep us posted, I don't think I've heard the Remus'. Chow bro.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm a little nervous, but I'll get over in time.

Ruben-- I am getting a regular drop in K&N. When I talked to the guys at MCC about the TPO system, they said they tried a similiar system once on a race bike and had problems with it. They told me you'll get all the air and performance you need out of a K&N although the cones look cooler. They are just gonna take the snorkels of the stock air box. I really don't know what that means, but they said it is better for it.

Jason--The Remus pipes are the low mount/stock style.

if you pop up your gas tank, you'll see your airbox and there are two snorkels that face forward and all they do is pop those bad boys out.

some people (me) end up cutting out a huge ass hole in the airbox itself to allow as much airflow possible but it has it's downside... when it rains, water runs right down that little crevice where the tank latch is, right down into the airbox. water+airbox=bad. you get the same effect of cutting the airbox by taking off the snorkels, and the difference in the amount of air allowed to pass through after making either mod is pretty negligible.

i also think the snorkels quiet the sound of your duc sucking in air...

Did you get a 39 of a 41? I'm really happy with the extra torque, I didn't mind losing top end for it. Personally, it feels strange on the monster to go faster then 120. It sounds like she's gonna blow!

I have the open air box as well with a k&n air filter. I like the sound it makes.
