Project Plans
The plan is simple - bring a top-notch racing facility to the Denver region. Though nothing is guaranteed at this point, we're looking to break ground on the planned (minimum) 5-mile, multi-configuration road course as early as 2007.
Our Vision for Genoa Motorsports Country Club
These are tumultuous times in the Denver area. Over the past couple of years, we have witnessed several tracks close, with ongoing concerns about the few still in operation. With no local track to race at, we've long since planned of building our own track. The time is now. We're now in the beginning stages of building a major racing facility for members and for club racers to enjoy for many years to come. The ball is rolling and the project is well underway.
Genoa Motorsports Country Club will be the owner and operator of the planned minimum 5-mile, multi-configuration road course. This track will be home to all racing enthusiasts in the Colorado and surrounding areas. We envision an enthusiast friendly track with elevation changes and plenty of run-off with first class amenities. This will be for club members, car clubs, and race sanctioning bodies. We intend to provide a facility that will pass inspection by FIA, FIM, SCCA, NASA, and AMA.
Building renderings are those initially proposed by our architect. Our buildings will be designed to blend with the track and surrounding environment while serving the needs of track personnel, drivers, crews, and spectators . These should give you a feel for the atmosphere and amenities we hope to provide.
Phase One:
Design and build an approximate five-mile (minimum, based on track design team recommendations), multi-circuit paved road course for use by Country Club Members, car and motorcycle clubs, and race sanctioning bodies who wish to rent either individual circuits or the full course. The design will include hot pit, safety walls, barriers, run-off areas, and other items that may be required to gain FIA, FIM, SCCA, NASA, and AMA approval.
Building with restroom and shower facilities, concession area, meeting areas, and race control area.
Paddock public address system, scoring system.
Approximately 5 acres of parking area for members (dependant on track design team recommendations).
Approximately 10 acres of parking area for clubs that may rent a circuit or the full course (dependant on track design team recommendations).
Initial internal roads.
Club tow-truck and ambulance.
We are pleased to officially announce that we have partnered with the track and site design team of Crested Butte, Colorado based Martyn Thake and Motorsports Consulting Services, LLC and Denver based Kyle Chism of GRIP, LLC.
