I am reassembling the rearsets on my '00 M900s.

On the gear shifter, I cannot torque the pivot bolt to the 24Nm spec because there is too much friction and the pedal down not want to travel.

Is there a trick to reassembly? Do I just use locktite and tighten by feel?

I assembled with the following sequence, starting from the outside of the bike:

Bolt -> O-ring -> Pedal -> O-ring -> washer -> Rearset

Is this correct? Are the o-rings causing "pinching" -- should have have them elsewhere?

Thanks,
Tigre

You've got the assembly order/position right. Just check to make sure the o-rings aren't falling out of their 'grooves' when you try to reassemble.

May be that your washer is cupped a little, try flipping it over.

Thanks -- so I *should* be able to get it to the proper torque spec then, huh?
