You don't need that vacuum fuel cut off. Just bypass it. I would put in a quick release makes taking the tank off easier and if you are trailering you can disconnect the tank to keep from flooding the engine.
thanx for the advice, Alex. i did order a new one. i do like the idea of fuel being shut off when the bike is not running. my concern is will the new one break. if so, in the meantime i would modify my old one.
