Any comments on friction plates? Its time for a new set. I've always used DP in the past and have had no complaints. However, I thought there may be something better out there.

I've had good experience with barnett clutch packs, for about $172 they come with steel drive plates, aluminum friction plates, and 6 heavy springs. you can mix and match with the softer stock springs, i just used the 6 barnetts. the heavier springs help the clutch last longer in my experience. i think the dp is overpriced for what you get (it was when i checked in to buy one a couple of years ago). and i believe fbf just sells a surflex kit for $250 with no springs (3 springs for $14 extra). i think motowheels sells the same for $195. further proof to me that fbf only just sells a bad attitude for higher prices with online shoppers and phone orders.

since i already have heavier springs from the barnett pack i was thinking about maybe trying out www.drdesmo.com for his quiet clutch kit for about $275... steel drive plates and the aluminum friction plates have thicker tabs to last up longer. just don't know if the "longer" justifies the $100 more yet.

my reason for the sureflex is simply lighter is better, and all feedback I've seen on various rider and club boards attests to the quality.
