has any one fitted there own tyres? i am having a problem finding any one who fits bike tyres, i want to change from road tyres to track tyres fairly often , any ideas is it a specialist job , machines or tools etc. ??? :(

You can change tires with some pretty crude tools. The right ones make it a lot easier. Pm Tigre. He just set himself up to do tire changes at the track on his racebike.

It is not rocket science.

A good set of Spoons, an extra set of hands, and a spray bottle filled with water/dish soap is all it takes me and I have been doing them like that for several years now. Although, I would love to have the extra scratch for a tire changer just to make it easier and to do it for my friends....maybe if one of the Yamahas got sold...

I agree. The front wheel can then be changed by you, and the rear will cost you less to change. And if you watch the guy changing the wheel...
