Here are some photos of my summer project. Details at the end:

I had a battery explosion last year that ruined the bike's frame and both engine cases. Originally, it was a gloss black bike with gold frame and wheels (which I didn't like).

I completely disassembled the bike in my garage. I had the frame and wheels powdercoated high-gloss black and painted the tank myself in matte black (after Norm fixed the big dent).

Spray-bombed the motor in grey engine enamel. Did my own vented clutch cover with a hole saw and painted the pressure plate. Let's see, new Galfer lines, rerouted most of the wiring harness, new TapeWorks stickers, blah, blah, blah.

Overall, pretty happy with the results. Whatcha think?

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Yep 170 Dunlop 208. Will go with a 180 next time. The pipes are Sil Motor high-mount megaphones. Neighbors love em ...

The signals are Lockhard Phillips.

I very nearly (like thiiiiiissss close) had the swing and upper forks coated black AND painted the motor black, too. In the end, I thought it would be too monochromatic for even my taste. But I'm still thinking about it ...
