hey all, my painter finally decided to start my project this weekend, so he told me to take apart all the fairing and tank bits since he doesn't want the whole bike. I'm going to break it down by pieces I am getting painted, so can you all look over the removal steps and make sure i dont miss anything important? Thanks!

Tank

According to Howie:
1. undo latch and lift tank
2. remove fuel lines
3. disconnect connector for fuel pump/sending unit
4. remove pivot pin clip and pivot pin from hinge at rear of
tank
5. take tank to painter

Question: Do I need any really special tools for this, or is it pretty straightforward?

Front fender - just those bolts? i don't even know why I'm asking this.

Seat Cowl: never mind, i never put it on in the first place...

Rear turn signal tray thingie: uhh, no idea, cant find anything on this site. any special instructions on removing the (stock) turn signals? thanks!

You have the tank thing figured out. Just remember when putting it back on that one hose has a white coller with the letter M. This goes to the fuel line that the picture shows with an M. This is very important if you ever want to start the bike again.

No special tools needed at all, but why in the heck would you want to paint the duck bill that the blinkers hang on. Cut that fugly thing off.
