I've been wondering if these times had any qualifying tires associated with them, and SBKPlanet had a quote from Pedrosa that confirmed. None the less, it's pretty amazing if the course is the same that they raced on this year.

i said from the beginning that if anybody actually thought these bikes were going to be slower, they had a screw loose.

Yeah, but they're only 800s. They must be cheaper for the factories and safer for the riders, right?

Pitt was a little closer to McWilliams... wait, was that before or after the broken leg? [laugh]

:p Ducati is two seconds off the pace. Didn't they take 1-2 in QP and didn't Capirossi win this race just a few months ago? I surprised they are so far off the pace.

Possibly they didn't make a run with qualifying tires. I think I read where the Suzuki boys had the best times without qualifyers. They, Ducati, are still there for development and maybe working on something specific.
