Everybody seems to like the Featured Bike thing, but it has been a hassle lately to get submissions. Soooo....

I'm thinking if there are members who'd like a month's worth of fame you should send me a photo of your bike and a small blurb about it. If it looks good and isn't similar to one we've already done I'll ask for some more pics and more text about the bike. I can't promise an exact month, as I'm hoping to build up a bit of a reserve of submissions.

One request - when you email me be sure to put "DML Featured" somewhere in the email subject. I'd hate to chuck it out with the Viagra offers.

I'll submit the Rodent for inventory and consideration for a slow month on the board....

It is an unremarkable critter with a lot of the usual mods and bolt-on updates,

somewhat photogenic....but don't look too closely or you'll see the age lines....

could have posed for a PlayBike centerfold back in '96 in its prime but is now more like Hustler magazine material :)

BTW, interesting stories would be cool to read along with tarted-out bikes....
So if you've got something like that about your monster, send it along

Yes, an interesting story (how you got the bike, the history of the bike, or where you ride) is very good.

Also, good photos are very helpful. Here are some tips:
- try to photograph the bike without a distracting background (like other bikes, people, dogs, dumpsters etc.)

- if you can, photograph the bike in sunlight (overcast days make it look flat)

- closeups of interesting mods are always nice

- lastly, a photo of you with your bike is good so people can put a face to the name.

I'm out of town until after the 1st, so it'll be a while until I get back to you. Thanks!

While we're on the subject, can the Mod check the broken links to some of the featured Monsters? I forgot which month, but there was an ALL RED Monster I'd like to see again. Thanks!

I've had trouble accessing past bikes too and I'd like to look back at them for ideas.

In the transition to the new server some of the old pages didn't make it over. We'll upload them ASAP.

OK, the featured bike pages should be fine now.

Also, I wanted to say thanks to all the people who've sent pictures and info on their bikes. I'm out of town for a few days, but one of you will be famous come Friday.

How about this one?
Belongs to CrestGal, here in SoCal.
It's been redone a bit since this pic, I'm sure it looks even better.
Lots 'O tasty bits on it....
