Error code 0008 r.SW ???

Hi all,

I have had many fun rides on my Ducati M1100, and all of a sudden it won't start. I am getting error code 0008 r.SW. Is it a fuse? Is it a battery issue? I have recently replaced the battery, so it should be starting fine. So I'm thinking it is not the battery itself.

Can someone help?

From what I can find that looks somewhat common and is usually a starting voltage problem, probably a bad battery if you have had the bike for a while and all has been fine until now.

0005 is Baattery, 0008 is the DTC and Traction Control on the Fault code list i have. Is the bike an EVO?

That's helpful, thank you. Yes, it is an EVO. When I turn the key to switch the bike on, it reads the error code, then all the lights flash, then it automatically shuts off completely. Is there a way to fix this?

I'd start by cleaning and checking all the connectors, especially those that got to the ABS, DTC and wheel sensors. You. might get lucky and thats all it is.
